Bus Rules

  1. Be Punctual: All students must be outside and ready at their assigned stop at least 5 to 7 minutes before their scheduled pick-up time. Students should not wait inside the house for the bus to arrive.

  2. Assigned Stops Only: Students are required to board and disembark the bus only at their assigned stops. Entering and exiting the bus should be done in an orderly manner.

  3. No Unauthorized Stops: The bus will only stop at established locations. Drivers are not permitted to change routes or stops without the approval of the District Transportation Coordinator.

  4. Driver Authority: The bus driver is in charge of the bus at all times. Misbehavior may result in the loss of bus riding privileges.

  5. Stay Seated: Students must remain seated while the bus is in motion and should always face forward. No part of the body should be extended outside the bus.

  6. Behavioral Conduct: Abusive language, spitting, shoving, or fighting is strictly prohibited. Violations may lead to disciplinary actions, including the suspension of riding privileges. Parents will be responsible for providing transportation during the suspension period.

  7. No Smoking or Tobacco Use: Smoking, chewing tobacco, or using any tobacco-related products (including e-cigarettes, vapor pens, hookahs, or other electronic smoking devices) is strictly forbidden on the bus.

  8. Prohibited Items: Students are not permitted to bring any items on the bus that could interfere with the driver's ability to operate the vehicle safely or that could cause safety issues for others. This includes but is not limited to laser pointers or any other objects that could create distractions or hazards.

  9. No Eating or Drinking: Eating or drinking of any kind is not permitted on the bus.

  10.  Missed Bus: If a student misses the bus, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to arrange transportation to school. Missing the bus does not excuse tardiness or absences, and repeated instances may result in further review by the school administration.

  11. Bus Delays: In the event of a bus delay, the school district will make every effort to notify parents and guardians as promptly as possible through our established communication channels. Students should remain at their assigned stop until the bus arrives. Delays do not excuse tardiness, and students are expected to attend school once transportation is available. Parents should have a contingency plan in place for significant delays.
