Hello! Welcome to Mrs. Maderia's classroom webpage! My name is Sarah Maderia and I am so excited to teach special education at the Forest Hills School District. This is my 11th year teaching at Forest Hills. I currently teach life skills support, learning support, autistic support, emotional support, and community based instruction. My classroom is located in the Elementary building, on the first floor, in room C6.
I received a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education from Saint Francis University in 2009. I received my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Clarion University in 2012.
Each and every child is unique, especially unique in the way they learn. My job is to find the best way to teach my students based on their unique needs, so they can learn and be successful. I will do my very best to create a comfortable, nurturing, and positive environment in my classroom that fosters student success. I am a strong believer in having an open door policy. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me via email, phone, or a note.
Thanks for viewing my webpage!
