Welcome to Mrs. Layman's Speech and Language Support WebpageName: Cassandra Layman, MS/CCC-SLPGrade/Subject: Speech and Language Therapy K-12Phone/Ext.: 487-7613Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I am certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and licensed by the state of Pennsylvania. I provide speech and language support to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. As a speech language pathologist, I work with students who have articulation disorders (sound errors), language disorders/delays, apraxia of speech (motor speech disorders), fluency disorders (stuttering or cluttering), alternative or augmentative communication needs (AAC), dysphagia (swallowing disorder), and cognition for students who may have suffered a traumatic brain injury.
My goal is to individualize each speech therapy session to best meet the student's needs. As with anything, practicing speech and language skills with children is essential to making them the best communicator they can be.
"Take advantage of every opportunity to practice your communication skills so that when important occasions arise, you will have the gift, the style, the sharpness, the clarity, and the emotions to affect other people." Jim Rohn
